On November 2, 2023, Kyiv hosted a large-scale event that brought together all CFOs and representatives of medium and large businesses in Ukraine.
This year, the forum was held offline and was attended by more than 500 representatives of Ukrainian companies. The forum’s main topic was developing Ukrainian business in today’s uncertain environment, transformation, and scaling to foreign markets.
The war has adjusted the development of Ukrainian businesses and contributed to a series of tax changes and business formats. Changes in sales markets and logistical obstacles have led to reforms in the export sector, thus creating a new challenge for companies.
During the forum, 22 speakers from Ukraine’s tax and business sectors presented their reports, ideas, and trends for the future development of Ukraine’s export business in 2024.
As part of the panel discussion on tax legislation and business development trends, Nataliia Haikalova, together with Igor Herasko, Head of Sales of Payoneer international payment system, covered a very relevant and essential topic of the day – “Foreign accounts and relevant business jurisdictions for Ukrainian exporters in 2024”.
- The best jurisdictions for export business in 2024, with favorable tax climate and business conditions, were discussed.
- The issues of opening bank accounts and payment systems for exporters were discussed.
- The issue of jurisdictions that have become “gray areas” for the European and international business sectors due to the large influx of Russians was also discussed.
The speakers also touched upon one of the most painful issues – changes in Ukrainian legislation on CFCs.
In difficult times for our country, business and government officials must unite because the economic front must work, develop, and generate revenues for the Ukrainian budget. United means invincible!
The XXI Annual CFO Forum 2023 is an advanced community where every participant works for the victory and development of our country.
